This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amβ11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (919) 678-5300. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, difarapizzatavern.com.

We had a great experience at DiFara Pizza in Cary, NC. The pizza was absolutely delicious, the thin crust was perfectly crispy, and the sauce was outstanding and really made the pizza stand out. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. The service was just as impressive. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and happy to accommodate any requests we had. She made us feel welcome from start to finish. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent pizza in the Cary area.

My dad is a pizza fanatic! We have to try pizza everywhere we go! 5 years ago we were in town visiting family and stumbled upon this place. Now every time we are in town we visit (everyday we are there)! Itβs truly the best pizza and coming from New York, that says a lot! lol. The staff and service is amazing and the pizza speaks for itself! This is a must stop if you love New York style pizza.

Finally stopped by and absolutely loved the experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff was welcoming, and the food came out fresh with great flavor and presentation. The pizza has that perfect balance of crispy, cheesy, and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. You can tell they care about quality and consistency, and the space itself has a great energy for either a casual dinner or drinks with friends. Definitely a spot worth checking out in Cary. πβ¨

I brought my cousin here who was visiting from Arizona. I myself am visiting from Richmond. I come down often and have been wanting to try Di Fara Pizza Tavern for awhile and am so happy I did. Great, clean atmosphere with good music playing in the background. Excellent service--so friendly, and patient too as they explained the differences between different pies. We both elected gor the square pizza (Detroit style) and got Pepporoni (it came with fresh basil leaves too!). In a word, perfect! I haven't had pizza this good since I moved away from Austin, TX where we had more choices than just NY style or some flatbread like I'm stuck with in Richmond. I won't get pizza anywhere else now. Good beer seletion on draft too, as well as a full bar. Cant wait to try the patio outside when things warm up. 5 stars!

One night while traveling back to Charlotte by train, I found myself with some extra time at the station and decided to walk over to this pizza shop. Iβm glad I did. I was greeted with very friendly and helpful service right away. I ordered two slices, and they were terrificβfresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a St. Patrickβs Day beer, which made the experience even better. Great stop if youβre passing through!
